After wrassling with Calibre a while--actually, that's unfair, it was an update to Calibre I was wrassling with--I converted one of my WIPs to an .epub and sent it to my Nook. Unlike the last time I tried to do this, the file actually went. Woot! Maybe that update did something useful.

It's a weird experience, looking at your own novel no longer as a file in a word processor, but instead looking somewhat like a Real Book. It's fun and intimidating at once. I did enjoy reading it, especially as I was freed from the obligation to edit--you can't edit on a Nook; it's for reading. Instead I made notes in a Notepad file or made minor changes to the original ms.

It has to be said that the ending to Southey's Box does not work. Sadly, it really does not. I have to come up with a better, more satisfying conclusion or trunk the poor thing again. Looking like a real book or not.
