Although I balk at cataloguing my dad's books, or even my own, I am trying to make lists of some of the book series that we like, in the hope of being able to grab missing books if/when I see them, rather than buying duplicates, getting home, and trying to be inventive with the invective. I started with the Cadfaels:

GOT

1. A Morbid Taste for Bones
2. One Corpse Too Many
3. Monk's Hood
4. Saint Peter's Fair
5. The Leper of Saint Giles
6. The Virgin in the Ice
7. The Sanctuary Sparrow
8. The Devil's Novice
9. Dead Man's Ransom
10. The Pilgrim of Hate
11. An Excellent Mystery
12. The Raven in the Foregate
13. The Rose Rent
14. The Hermit of Eyton Forest
15. The Confession of Brother Haluin
16. A Rare Benedectine: The Advent of Brother Cadfael
17. The Heretic's Apprentice
18. The Potter's Field
19. The Summer of the Danes

NOT GOT

20. The Holy Thief
21. Brother Cadfael's Penance

So we're doing pretty well there :).

Then I tried to list Henning Mankell's Wallander series, and got Hopelessly Confused. I'm not even going to try to put the books in the right order, but these seem to be they:

GOT

Faceless Killers
The Dogs of Riga
The White Lioness
The Man Who Smiled
One Step Behind
Before the Frost

NOT GOT

Sidetracked
The Fifth Woman
Firewall
The Pyramid
The Troubled Man

Bit of work still to do :).

*taps fingers*

I went to the local Post Office on an errand for Monissaw and saw that the supermarket--which contains the PO--has restored the charity book table that disappeared during the Christmas period. And for a while afterwards. Hurrah!

I picked up two books for 50p each. One, the ACE Spelling Dictionary by David Moseley and Catherine Nicol, is going to be offered to husband for the library at his work. The other one is mine:

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Boating and Sailing by Frank Sargeant.

See? It's even got my name on the cover ;)!
