Picked up two books in an antique shop in a cathedral town, but on closer inspection of the file downloaded from my trashed Goodreads account, it seems I already have one of them. I suppose it might make a gift for someone. Annoying, though. It's a lovely-looking book but I could have spent the money on something else.

The other book is The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano, or Gustavus Vassa, the African, Written by Himself. Possibly the longest title I've had in a while, if not ever. It's an American edition, a nice thick chunky book, but the text is a little small and close together. At this rate I'll have to buy one of those book magnifiers. Or get some reading glasses. Woe, woe is me.

From the pristine appearance of the spine, nobody's ever read this book. I shall have to remedy that.
