Recent Acquisitions #13

The order from The Book People arrived today, despite never having been confirmed. Better unconfirmed than unreceived! It came in a Very Large Box, hot on the heels of my order from Alibris.

So I have:

Shackleton's Whisky by Neville Peat (nominative determinism?);
Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey
and
Brightness Falls From the Air by James Tiptree Jr.

The Tiptree looks well read but whoever was reading the Carey seems to have given up around page 180. No creases in the spine past that point. The Shackleton book occasioned much hilarity in the family. Ha ha ha guys.

Plus the book for my aunt and some actual Christmas presents arrived. A good day.
