thelittledogCompletely forgot to mention this book that I picked up while we were out buying The Purple Chair that now sits proudly in most of the living room. It also swivels.
Nineteenth Century Children: Heroes and Heroines in English Children's Stories 1780-1900 by Gillian Avery. The dustjacket shows some shelf wear, as does the spine, and the endpapers have pulled away from the fabric. The binding is loose. Also, it's ex-library, and stamped so in red. A little TLC won't do it any harm.
Should make an interesting read.
