I know. It just goes on and on.

Collected my Hive order from the local independent bookshop. Order included a present my husband asked for (no, honest, something not for ME!) and the Automata and Mechanical Toys book by Rodney Peppe. My dad speculated that we would soon have a marching army of naked dolls in the house, a vision straight out of Blade Runner.

While in the bookshop, I ordered Touching the Void.

The inevitable trawl of the charity shops followed, turning up the following:

The Town in Bloom by Dodie Smith;
Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison;
Wagons West: The Epic Story of America's Overland Trails by Frank McLynn
and
The Fetterman Massacre by Dee Brown.

Also a Cadfael book I thought we didn't have, but we do have it, so bleargh.

Checked out the UK Le Guin collection in one of the charity shops again, but as I'd neglected to check what I have and don't have by her, it was a tad pointless. I know I have at least two out of three of Gifts, Powers and Voices, but which two? Or do I have all three? Lemme just check the data I downloaded from my GR account before trashing it.

Hmm, seems I've got and read all of them. Good thing I didn't pick any up on the off-chance.

Yeah. Altho I never had much luck standing around in bookshops trying to get into my GR account anyway.

Yeah. Although is one of two things I missed about GR. I've tried some alternatives on other sites but they've sucked. Maybe a database in Dropbox or such might be the way to do it.
